Artie was born on January 7, 1940 in Paoli, Oklahoma in McClain County to Lee Otis and Lucy Dee Isbill. She graduated from Wayne High School.
Artie Married Doland B. Howell and the couple had 3 children: Jimmy Dean Howell, Steven Alan Howell, and Gregory Robin Howell.
Artie worked at the Bursar’s office at the University of Oklahoma for 50 years.
Artie was a member of the Norman Round Up Club and a member of Alameda Church of Christ. She enjoyed building wooden crafts for art shows with her husband Doland. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles and talking about her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brother.
Artie is preceded in death by her husband Doland Blake Howell, which passed 24 days earlier. Both Artie and Doland were taken too soon by complications of Covid-19. To be with Jesus Christ for eternity. They are missed, but we will see them again with our God and Father in heaven.
Artie is also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Mary Beth Jernigan, Geneva Sue Kindrick, Shirley Yvonne Jackson and her brother Mack Bennett Isbill.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her sisters: Lucy Ramsey, Patricia Kile, her brother in-law Harold Jackson, her children: Jimmy, and wife Linda Howell, Alan and his wife Jill Howell, Robin Howell, her grandchildren: Jimmy Howell II, Cathy Lynch, Nathan Howell, Blake Howell, and Shane Howell.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 03/17/2021 4:00PM-7:00PM at Primrose Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be Thursday 03/18/2021 2:00PM at Primrose Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
