"Ted Adams Jr. departed this life on January 23, 2022. He was born in Portsmouth, VA on November 30, 1955 to Georgia Mae and Ted Adams Sr. He attended Northern High School in Detroit, MI as well as Norview High School in Norfolk, VA. He later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University in 1982 and went on to the US Air Force in 1983, retiring in 1998 as a Sr. Master Sergeant. During that time, he pursued a Master's degree in Counseling. Ted was known for his love of family, his sense of humor, and, of course, being well-dressed.
He is survived by his daughter, Channing, her husband, Kellen, and their two children - Arianna and Zoe; and his son, Rawlin, and his wife, Brittany. We will remember our dad as always wanting to make sure we were well taken care of and safe–even after departing this world. We remember his enjoyment of Bruce Lee movies, eating Cracker Barrell and Chinese food, and traveling. But most importantly, we remember his mission to keep our large family connected and maintain our family history. Although our hearts are breaking, we know his suffering and pain has ended and that Heaven has gained another angel.
Ted is also survived by his two siblings, Phyllis Mae Jones and Alphonso Adams who reside in Virginia Beach, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
