Rosemary Greene

Rosemary Greene, 91 peacefully went to be with her Lord with family members at her side on November 25, 2013. She was born 8/12/22 in Ward, WV to Lester (PawPaw) and Marie (MawMaw) Farley. In April 1942 she married Charles H Greene and moved to Norfolk where she began living the life of a ‘navy wife’ and making a home to lovingly raise four children. She was an active member of the Colonial Heights Church of Christ. In the late 1960s, she helped to organize, furnish and staff a nursery to care for the children of parents attending church services.

An excellent seamstress she loved making clothes for all of her children. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed working puzzles. Her kids also dubbed her the “Coupon Queen” and she would go out of her way to find a good bargain.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles, and brothers Kenneth and Clarence Farley. She is survived by her four children, Ed (Jenny) Virginia Beach, Regina Daniel (Danny) Norfolk, Mary Ellen Garbarini (Pete) Sacramento, and David (Tammie) Norfolk. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
