Patricia M Kovach

Patricia M. Hall Kovach, 73, of Norfolk, VA, passed away at home, Thursday, October 4, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. Pat was born April 28, 1945 in Gardiner, ME to the late Adelbert and T. Irene (Palmer) Hall. She graduated from Hall-Dale High School in 1963. She’s survived by her husband of 32 years, Joseph M. Kovach of Norfolk, VA, a daughter, Kathy Callahan McGhee (Greg) of Fredericksburg, VA, her granddaughter, Katie McGhee of Richmond, VA, her sister, Dorna Tracy of Randolph, ME, her brother, Jay Hall of Pittston, ME, numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and her best friend since childhood, Rita (Donovan) Lessner (Linwood) of Litchfield, ME. Though not biological, she had many special children and grandchildren of the heart whom she loved dearly. Pat loved her family, friends, and pets more than anything in the world. She was especially proud of her granddaughter’s soon-to-be-finished Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. She was also a diehard Yankees and Patriots fan. She will be loved and missed forever. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Hall and her nephew, Shaun Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Intrepid Hospice. Per Pat’s last wishes, there will not be a funeral service. The family will be hosting a celebration of her life with friends and family next summer in Maine, date and time to be determined.
