Mary Cullipher Edwards

Mary C. Edwards 83, went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born in Martin County, NC, to parents Johnie and Gladys Cullipher. Mary was a loving faithful wife of 49 years to Joseph L. Edwards Sr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by three sons, Joseph L. Edwards Jr., Sammy R. Edwards and wife Dale, Randy E. Edwards, and daughter Rhonda G. Edwards-Arrington, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother, Bennie Cullipher and wife Peggy, sister, Peggy Haislip and husband Edsel, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was an active member of the Women’s Red Hat Society and a devout member of Hyde Park Freewill Baptist Church. She was a faithful child of God and devoted her life to sharing the love she received from Christ with all whose lives she touched. The family thanks the wonderful nurses from Medi Home Hospice for the compassion, care and support they provided. The family will receive friends on July 23, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm, followed by a celebration of life to be held at 1100 am, on July 24, 2019 at Woodlawn Funeral Home located at 6329 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard. Interment will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens 12813 US-64, Williamston NC 27892.
