Marilyn Joan Wall, 95, passed away peacefully in the early morning of November 15th with her daughter Laurie at her side holding her hand. She is now reunited with her husband of 60 years, Kermit, and her son, Robert.
She was born March 13th 1927, to the late Clarence and Mary Burke Miller in Stamford, CT. Marilyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and nana who will be dearly missed. She loved her New York Yankees, spending time at the beach, and never missed an opportunity to shop at a Navy Exchange while traveling.
A woman of strong faith, she was a member of Lakeview Park Church of Christ for over 50 years. Marilyn was a proud Navy Wife for 30 years and demonstrated quietly and tirelessly how to endure the hardest seasons as a military spouse.
A true Renaissance Woman, she used her love for knowledge to sharpen her biting wit that family knew and loved. She studied hard, watched Jeopardy every night and was so proud when she received her G.E.D. at the age of 58, a true accomplishment for her. She took great honor in being an American Red Cross volunteer for over 10 years at Boone Clinic.
She is survived by daughters, Laurie Kennedy and husband Gary, Kathleen Nixon Lancelot, Sister, Irene Fuller Hiester, Grandson, Taylor Wall, Granddaughter, Jordan Wall, Daughter In Law, Joyce Wall, Niece, Betsy Eatman and husband Max, and numerous cousins and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Asuncion, Caretaker Monique, and Hospice Nurse Amy.
Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United States Navy Memorial or the American Heart Association.
Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Love you always mom.
