Margaret Jackson Mizelle

Margaret J. Mizelle, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 9, 2024. She was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church for more than sixty years. Margaret was born in Pinetown, North Carolina, to the late Henry Richmond and Edith Boyd Jackson. She was predeceased by her husband Edward D. Mizelle, as well as her brother Dallas Jackson. Margaret is survived by her children, Glysal Mizelle (Karla), Patricia Mizelle, Teresa Mizelle, and Debra Harris (Charles). She is also survived by her brother Donald Jackson, five grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. She leaves a lasting legacy of faithfulness to the Lord and unwavering love for her family. Her commitment to Christ was her first and most important priority. After that, nothing fulfilled her more than being a wife and mother. Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, 2430 Azalea Garden Road, Norfolk, with burial following in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
