Janet is predeceased by her parents, Luther and Maida Painter; husband, Robert McNeill; two sons, J.W. and Durwood and 9 brothers and sisters. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, JoAnn Jackson and Hazel and her husband, Harold Partin; 3 sisters, 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and numerus extended family and dear friends, Vicky and Mike Stone.
Janet was born in Augusta County, Virginia in 1938. She met and married her faithful and devoted husband, Robert McNeill. She worked for many years at the Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek as a cashier. A lover of country music and travelling, Janet’s favorite trip was to country music’s biggest stage, the Grand Ole Opry.
