Jack Eugene McDaniel, 75, of Virginia Beach, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Born August 9, 1937 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Clyde and Helen McDaniel. Jack served in the United States Navy and retired in 1981 as a Senior Chief after 23 years of service. He also worked 20 years at Newport News Shipbuilding as an Engineer. Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Fuhr McDaniel; brother, Robert McDaniel; nephew, George Miller; and niece, Linda Stewart. Survivors include two children, son Michael McDaniel and wife, Melissa, and daughter Cynthia McDaniel; 3 grandchildren, Brett, Zachary, and Beauen; a sister, Elaine Miller; 2 brothers Kenneth and Ellsworth, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Norfolk on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 6pm to 8pm and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral Service will be at 1pm on Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.woodlawngroup.com.
