Florence Virginia Wright

Florence Virginia Wright, 86, went to meet her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. She was born to the late Elmer and Mary Elizabeth Burroughs in Virginia. She was a dedicated Coast Guard wife of 62 years, traveled extensively, bowled, and loved spending time on the water with her family. Flo was predeceased by her granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Scott; sisters, Louemma Gladden and Ann Hackett. Flo is survived by her loving husband, Bill; faithful companion, Lilly; children, Edward Lewis, Sandra Scott, Larry W. Wright (Johanna), Royce L. Wright (Susan), and Sherry L. Rodax; nieces, Ann Sayers and Betsy Rowe. She was a cherished Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017, 1PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Red Cross.
