Ellen O’Donnell Schmitt, 87, of Virginia Beach passed away peacefully on Tues., Dec. 4 at a local hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas P. Schmitt, Sr.; her son, John; and her half-brother James Mahoney. Survivors include her six children, Tommy; Michael and his wife, Beverly; George and his fiancée, Laurie Harris; Cathy Anderson; David; Charlie and his wife, Patti; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7 to 9pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard. A Celebration of her life will also be held at the funeral home Saturday December 8th, 2007 at 11:00am with burial to follow.
