Dorine Irby, age 92, of Norfolk, Virginia passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. A visitation for Dorine will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 1502 Link St., Virginia Beach City 23502. Dorine will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. When I must leave you For a little while- Please do not grieve And shed wild tears And hug your sorrow to you Through the years, But start out bravely With a gallant smile; And for my sake and in my name live on and do all things the same, Feed not your loneliness On empty days, But fill each waking hour In useful ways, Reach out your hand In comfort and in cheer And I in turn will comfort you And hold you near; And never, never Be afraid to die, For I am waiting for you in the sky!
