Alexander Gamboa Andres

On Saturday, July 27th, 2019, Alexander G. Andres, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away at the age of 71.
Alex was born on January 5, 1948 in Guagua, Pampanga, Philippines. He served in the United States Navy for 22 years with the Seabees Construction Battalion and followed this with 27 years at the VA Medical Center, Office of Engineering before retiring this year.
GG, as he was known by his family, worked hard but always found time for philanthropic and charitable ventures between his cruise set-sail dates and golf tee-times. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and one-time president of the Pampango Language Club. He also joined the order of the Free Masons (Willis V. Fentress Lodge No. 296 A.F. and A.M.) and was elected to Scooter Patrol Captain of the Khedive Shriners Chesapeake, all while being an active member and DJ for the 5th Dimension Line Dancing Group.
Alex was preceded in death by his father, Angel, mother, Juanita, and brother Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Marian, his two children Margret and Alex, two grand-children Adrian and Allysia, great grandson Weston, sister Amelita Cortez, as well as several other immediate relatives.
