Barbara Brignac Troxclair, age 89, a native of Norco and longtime resident of Destrehan, Louisiana passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estelle Melancon Brignac and Ursin Joseph Brignac, husband Ernest S. Troxclair Jr., and son, Dale M. Troxclair. She is survived by daughters, Lori T. Oubre, Lisa T. Corso (Rusty), Lana T. Falgoust (Scott), and only sister, Donna B. Notariano. She was a loving Grandmother to Shane, David, Brandon, Cory, Lacie, Sean, Michael, Lindsey, Michelle, Chris and to her many great Grandchildren.
She was a 1952 graduate of Destrehan High school and played the saxophone in the band. She cherished the love of her life, Ernest and was a devoted Catholic, wife and mother. Her dedication to her faith was evident in her daily life. She was a talented creative person and exceptional seamstress known for her exquisite handwork, and will be remembered for her love of Christmas. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a board member of the Nifty Fifties. She enjoyed music, dancing, camping, traveling, football, reading, puzzles and laughing. She was her happiest when she was with family and friends.
Visitation and funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco on Saturday, June 8, 2024. Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m. with a Christian Mass at 11:00 a.m. Followed by a procession and Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan.
