1934 – 2016
Passed away at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on July 21, 2016 at the age of 82. Loving companion of the late David Neufeld (2016) and late husband Roger Roy (1993). Beloved mother of Lisa Moore (Walter Bateman), Claudette Racey, Richard Roy (Maira Berzins), and Neil Roy (Heather). Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Jamie, Shelley, Brooke, Craig, Jesse, Keshia, August, and Chase; and by her nine great grandchildren. She is survived by her one sister Sally Godin, and by her brother-in-law Jeff Caron; and by Colleen Roy. Predeceased by her sisters Ronnie Dubé, Mickey O’Howe, & Heughette Caron; and by David Racey. Rita was a long time member of the Coronation Club.
In accordance with Rita’s wishes cremation will take place. Family and friends are invited to a visitation to honour her memory at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 2 – 4 PM.
