Dear Mr. Farrell,

I hope this letter finds you and your family surrounded by love and support during this difficult time. I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your wonderful wife, Mrs. Farrell. Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

There are no words to express my gratitude for the support and guidance that you and Mrs. Farrell provided my family when we moved to Toronto. You both are incredible teachers and leaders, and your unwavering presence in our lives has profoundly impacted us. I will always hold a special place in my heart for your family.

Please know that I love you all and am grateful for the sacrifices you and Mrs. Farrell made for all Black people in Canada.

Mrs. Farrell's fantastic cooking and kind nature left an indelible impact on me and my family.

I will never forget the beautiful dinners and gatherings we shared at your household and ours. The warmth, laughter, and togetherness we experienced created lasting bonds I deeply cherish, gatherings that symbolized a celebration of our shared heritage and cultural backgrounds, the bond between Haiti and Trinidad.

Please find solace in knowing God is watching over your family and Mrs. Farrell. May God's blessings be upon her as she embarks on a new journey, reunited with Toussaint and many other wonderful people. The love and memories you shared will forever live in our hearts.

We are heartbroken for you and the family for your loss of our friend Joan. Joan will be missed deeply . We all will remember her friendly heartwarming spirit that always looked at the bright side of life. A dear friend so loved life with all its challenges . We remember Joan"s intense love for all, her optimism despite setbacks. We know Joan is at rest with all the angels singing with her in the heavenly choir. One of a kind ,God's gift to us that has been called back to a better place. May Joan rest in a well deserved peace until the resurrection to life. She will be missed. Rest In Perfect Peace Joan.

So sorry I cannot be there for Joan's funeral. I am out of town at a conference, but I want to pass on my condolences on behalf of the residents and staff of The Salvation Army Eventide Home. It was a pleasure to get to know Joan and witness the love between her and her husband Lennox.
