Passed away peacefully at Nimigon Retirement Home on Saturday, December 24, 2011 in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the late Neil Malloch (1999). Irene lived in comfort with the compassionate care provided by Kristy & Joe at Nimigon Retirement Home. Beloved mother of Gary and his wife Judy of Boynton Beach, Fla., Blair and his wife Nancy, Cindy Fisher (Tom Monaghan) of Niagara Falls. Dear grandmother of Cheryl (Rob) Hutsell, Tonia (Doug) Barnhill, Kerri (David) Schweissing, Chloe (Ryan) Craig, Allison Fisher (Drew), Haley (John) Bouvier, and Natasha Malloch. Sadly missed by her twelve great grandchildren. Irene was an avid bridge player, curler and enjoyed watching the horse races.
Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from noon – 1 p.m. at which time a memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1 o’clock. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara would be appreciated.
