Helen Jane Logan

Helen Jane Logan – April 14, 1921 to March 27, 2016, of Niagara Falls, in her 95th year. Predeceased by her parents, Annie and Robert Logan of Hamilton, formerly of Ireland. Helen was the eldest of 7 children, all of whom predeceased her along with their spouses – Annie (& David Davidson) of Hamilton, Thomas (& Norma) of Hamilton, Roberta of Hamilton, Margaret (& Rev. John Pace) of Halifax, NS, Florence (& Jack McHarg) of Hamilton, and David of Hamilton. Helen is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a long standing member of Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls and with New Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hamilton before that. Helen worked at International Silver in Hamilton and relocated with them to the Falls in the early 1950’s. After their closure, she worked at Bentley Sporting Goods and later for a number of motels in the area until her retirement. She was a member of the Coronation Senior Centre. Special thanks to Dr. Porwal and the staff at Oakwood Park Lodge, her home for the past 6 plus years. Helen had a strong faith and it is only fitting the she would pass away peacefully on Easter morning. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will take place at Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church, 6136 Lundy's Lane, Niagara Falls on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 2 PM. Memorial visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service time. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, One Foundation for NHS - GNGH Diagnostic Imaging Dept., or the charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
