Justin R Seekamp, age 39, of Byram Township, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Newton Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, New York. Justin was raised in Parsippany, New Jersey and was a resident of Byram New Jersey for the past 7 years. Justin graduated from Parsippany Hills High School where he was a member of the football team and grew his passion for the sport. He attended Rutgers University and went on to grow his career with UPS for almost 15 years as a Project Manager.
Justin was extremely passionate about his Cranberry Lake community. He could always be seen during the summer months taking his boats out for a spin or taking all the local children tubing at any moment’s notice. He was an involved swim team dad for his two children and was known as the loudest parent at every swim meet, always trying to cheer his 2 girls onto victory. He also loved attending any clubhouse event that involved live music, where his whacky dance moves always brought laughter to all those around him. Cranberry Lake was also the place where his love story with his fiance, Lauren Schaeffner, began and the place he chose to propose to her this past summer.
Justin is survived by his daughters and lights of his life, Summer and Brooklyn; his parents John and Alice Seekamp; his sisters Samantha Panek (Matt) and Lauren Scully (Sean); his fiancé Lauren Schaeffner along with many nieces and nephews and his loving dog, Parsnips.
A visitation for Justin will be held Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, NJ 07860. A 10:00 AM Christian Mass will occur Monday, December 12, 2022 at Good Shepherd R.C. Church, Route 517, Andover Boro, NJ 07821. His daughters Summer and Brooklyn request that attendees wear Green or Jet’s memorabilia in honor of his favorite professional football team.
Justin was an organ donor and was able to help several individuals after his passing because of his generosity.
