Gregory "Greg" M. Weinrich, 66, of Newton, NJ passed away at his home on November 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 12, 1956, in Dover, NJ, and was a son of the late George and Gloria (Schiro) Weinrich.
Greg was a member of the first graduating class of Mt. Olive High School in 1974 where he played football, basketball and track. He worked in the metal industry most of his life.
Greg was first and foremost a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother and son. He is the heart and soul of his extended family and was loved by all who knew him. His kindness, compassion, and most of all his sense of humor will be deeply missed.
He was an avid nature lover and enjoyed hiking the trails of Sussex County, kayaking, bird watching and photography.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Anne (and her son, Sean), and his loving children, daughter Alexis, two sons, Zackery and his wife, Ashly, Jacob and his wife Cortney, and their mother, Shirley. Known as “Pepper” he is survived by his three beautiful granddaughters, who he adored, Remy, Zaida and Sophie. He is also survived by his two brothers, Christopher and wife, Cindy, and James and wife Joyce.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. Funeral Services will begin at 6:30 pm.
