Ellen was born on May 20, 1961 in Passaic to the late Edwin and Barbara (Hawkins) Kulawiak. Ellen grew up in Chester before settling in Sussex County over 30 years ago. Prior to her retirement, she was a Special Education Teacher for 31 years for Andover Regional School District. She will be missed by her cherished family, friends and students.
The beloved wife to the late Kevin Weed, Ellen is survived by her daughters, Kate-Lynn Pellington and husband Craig and Emily Weed; her sister-in-law, Cindy Weed and her nephews, Justin Weed, Eddie, Bobby and Stephen Kulawiak.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 12-3 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ 07860. A time of sharing will begin promptly at 3 p.m. At the family’s request and in honor of Ellen’s love for bright colors, it would be appreciated if all attendees wear something purple.
