Charlotte was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Josef and Franziska (Muhlbauer) Faltermeier. After helping her husband build their home in Gillette in the early 1950’s, she became a member of the Millington First Aid Squad, which led to her working in the Emergency Room at Overlook Medical Center. A 20-year career as an LPN at the hospital followed, and she was honored as Nurse of the Year in 1995.
Charlotte was an active member of All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Millington for more than 50 years. She helped run the annual greens sale and rummage sale, and was a member of the Altar Guild. She was an excellent cook/baker and also enjoyed gardening, knitting, and antiquing. She loved her summer vacations on Cape Cod and took many trips with her late husband all over Europe and the US. Charlotte always looked forward to spending quality time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Neil Davis in 2012. She is survived by her children, Linda Davis-Levenez and Sharon Ferguson; her grandchildren, Adam and Kelly; and her great-grandchildren, Noelle and Jamal.
A memorial service honoring Charlotte will be held at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church from 1 pm to 3 pm on May 18th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Charlotte Davis to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinsons.org.
