Mary Anne Frye Bishop, age 58, of Newton, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at her residence. Born January 10, 1961, in Catawba County, NC, she was the daughter of the late George William Frye and Marjorie Elizabeth Burch Frye.
Mary had worked for Catawba Sox, Dixie Boat Works, Krohler Furniture, and Hardees. She was known for her kind heart and generous spirit and she enjoyed fishing, swimming, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Eugene Storey, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Bishop of Maiden, NC; grandchildren, Macie Bishop, Robert Storey, and Nathaniel Storey; and sister, Julia Auton and husband Kent of Maiden, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, January 28, 2019, in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home in Newton, NC, with the Rev. Byron Repass officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
