Ellen was born December 4, 1920 and was a member of First Advent Christian Church. She retired after many years working in the nursing home industry.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Everett Monroe Hart and her brother, Arthur W. Allen, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are her stepson, Eric J. Hart of Monroe, WA; caregiver and friend, John Loveless, of Hickory, NC, and friend, Kay Bumgarner, of Hickory, NC.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2:00 in the Hart Family Cemetery on Cape Hickory/Rhodhiss Road in Burke County.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Advent Christian Church, 1941 N. Center St., Hickory, NC 28601.
