Warren Allen Carl born on October 4, 1949 in Tucson, AZ to Roger and Jean Carl passed away peacefully at home of Pancreatic cancer surrounded by his family on Saturday December 7, 2024 at the age of 75.
During Warren’s early years, his father served in the military which required the family to live in Arizona, Japan, Texas, and finally the San Fernando Valley. Warren graduated from James Monroe High School, served with distinction in the US Army, and earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Organizational Management from the University of La Verne. Warren worked for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power as a Sr. Electrical Mechanic Supervisor, retiring after 30 years. During his lifetime, Warren lived in Redding CA, the San Fernando Valley, finally residing in Agua Dulce CA where he met and married his wife “Renee” in 1994.
Warren lived a full and adventurous life. He loved the ocean and sailed with friends for 6 months along the California coast down to Mexico, enjoyed deep sea fishing, winning 2nd place on the boat “Shogun” after landing a 245 lb. Tuna, hiked Mt. Whitney and on his second ascent, with his wife Renee. Rode his Harley Davidson completing several trips with friends around the United States. In 2018 he became interested in beekeeping and enrolled in beekeeping classes with his wife Renee becoming a Master Beekeeper. Warren used his mastery of beekeeping to enter his honey in the Orange County Fair and was awarded 1st Place, Best of Show and Division winner, Twice! Following this success Warren entered his honey at the Antelope Valley Fair winning 1st Place, Best of Show and Division winner. Following these successes, Warren sold his honey in the community, but often gave his award-winning honey away or donated it.
Warren is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan Renee Carl. His stepsons Ian Perry, Nicholas Perry his wife Hannah and their children Gwyn and Logan Perry. His only sibling, Candice Carl Burns and her husband David. Additionally, Warren is survived by his father-in-law, James Lawson, brother-in-law, Steven Lawson and nephew's James, Joseph, and Jackson Lawson.
Warren is preceded in death by his mother Jean Dean and stepfather Walt Dean, his father Roger Carl and stepmother Peggy Carl, and his mother-in-law Rebecca Lawson.
Warren’s Funeral will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Highway, Newhall, CA 91321 on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Grave site internment will be proceeded by a Military service at the Veteran’s Memorial located within the park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the LA County Beekeepers Association.
