I remember Sue and Tom would come into the Potterybarn, where I worked. They’ve been coming into the store the 12 years  I’ve worked there. Sue was always so sweet and just a ray of light and so pretty. Her and Tom always worked together as a team when they shopped together. I loved it when they came into the store. My heart was broken to hear of her passing she will be greatly missed but, never forgotten. She was a delight and heaven has a new star. Blessings to you Tom and your family.

Sue was the mother of one of my best friends and always felt like an aunt to me. I loved her infectious smile, her easy laugh, her HUGE heart, her grace and her graciousness, her kindness… and she was so much fun! Sue and Tom have always been the sort of parents that when you would invite Ashley to something, you’d follow right up with “oh and invite Sue and Tom too!” I watched in awe as she handled cancer with quiet strength and poured her energy and joy into planning Ashley and Pete’s wedding. The wedding was spectacular and beautiful, just like Sue, and her planning was the ultimate act of mom love.  I’ll miss her always. Ashley and Tom, my heart is with you both.

I first met Sue and Tom in 2009. I moved to LA from NY and instantly connected with their daughter Ashley. We have been dear friends since. Over the past nearly 10 years - my husband and I have always looked up to Tom and Sue and truly admired the love they share. Just the way they looked at each other always made my heart melt. Sue was such a loving soul with the BIGGEST heart. My husband is a chocolate chip cookie connusier and let’s just say he always ranked Sues baked goods an A+.  She was like my LA mommy and always wanted to take care of everybody and just see them happy. She also loved my boys and they were so lucky to have met her! We will miss you dearly Sue. We love you. Sue had the most beautiful soul. My husband and I were lucky enough to have shared this beautiful dinner at Mama's Fish House in Maui, Hawaii this past May with Sue and Tom and my parents. I remember we all ordered their famous Mai Tai Roe Ae as a cocktail, including one for Sue. It was the highlight of the evening. Sue was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I've known the Dickinson's nearly my entire life, dating back to the Summit Seals days and we've been lucky enough to share so many memories with sue including Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas Eve celebrations for the past few years. We miss you dearly Sue <3 

Dear Sue.. we will miss your kindness , and your beauty. You held a very special place within our group... gentleness , compassion and a story that could make us cry with laughter. I hope you had more “jokers” than you ever expected ... we will miss our sweet , beautiful Sue. You left is too soon-

How sad to hear of the passing of Sue.  We will always remember her fondly for all the volleyball days we spent together with our daughters.  Tom and Ashley our hearts go out to you.  May you find peace and comfort in all the sweet memories of your wife and mother.  She was a leader and we enjoyed her stories and laughter.  She always was in your corner and supporting of whatever she undertook to accomplish.  She was a beautiful spirit - inside and out.

I’m not sure exactly what to say, but I want you to know I care. I was saddened to learn of Sue's passing. She was an example of strength and kindness. 
Your love was evident whenever you spoke of her in the many years we've worked together. While thankful Sue was able to enjoy your daughter's wedding, its none the less devastating.  May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead.
