Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12 noon Monday, October 2, 2023 at Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary, Chapel of the Oaks, 23287 Sierra Highway, Newhall, California.
Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon with Father Carlucci officiating. Burial will take place after the funeral service at Eternal Valley Memorial Park.
Richard was born in Akron, Ohio, to Dale and Doris Hovey on January 20, 1931. He went to school at Sacramento, California. He worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Los Angeles County Municipal Courts for 20 years in Los Angeles and Valencia . He was a veteran and served in the Air Force.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents and sister Diane Hegland.
Richard is survived by Celia, his wife of 54 years, his daughter Lisa Tanner, his son-in-law Aaron Tanner and his granddaughter Aubrey Tanner.
