Matthew 6:9–13
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and
the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

A Tribute to My Brother
Dear Cedric I already miss that special gleam you’ve always had in your eyes.
I’ll never forget our Ingram’s Goodbyes. They were never a handshake, they were always a hug and see you when I see you.
I’ll never forget when we last met, sitting around your kitchen table telling Ingram’s’ Whoppers till we cried.
Though you were the youngest, the thing you did, the beautiful daughters, the lovely wife, and the places you went gave me wonder.
I’LL ALWAYS BE PROUD TO CALL YOU MY BROTHER. LOVE ANTHONY
From the Pendgraft’s A Tribute to our Cousin
"For Cedric, In Memoriam"
Today
We counted our blessings and cried
Soft tears
Tears that start like the gentle ebb and flow
Of the California shore
Tears that disappear
Like the impressions of feet around the places you've been
Places like Heraldo St.
And the Paseo on a gentle autumn day
Places like Castaic Lake
Underneath the light of the 4th of July fireworks
Our tears are soft because your memory,
Your essence,
Was loud. Bombastic.
A presence to be known.
As though all your life you were calling out to the world:
"You won't lose sight of me! Here I am!"
If any of us had known
How short time could be
Would we have laughed more?
Counted and catalogued the details
that make up each other's lives?
The smile. Big and full of warmth.
The voice. Joyful and unique.
The walk. A spring in your step.
The hugs. So sincere and full of love for family.
Would we have committed conversations to memory?
Conversations in the backyard of
Lillian and Chester's home.
Conversations between
cousins and friends
brothers, sisters
husbands, wives,
mothers, fathers
sons and daughters
Conversations over the sounds
of children's laughter and dominoes.
