Audrey Axelrad (Keller), 89, passed from this earth on Friday, March 15, 2019. She was born August 6, 1929 to Louis and Evelyne Keller in Chicago. Audrey's family moved to Los Angeles, where she later met and married Ken Axelrad in 1952.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, her parents and her siblings. Audrey was a devoted wife to Ken for their sixty years together and her memory lives on in their children Jim (Pam) Axelrad, Kathy (Rick) Memmott, Julie (John) Leichtle and Tom (Cheree) Axelrad; her grandchildren Rhonda (Matt) Leonard, Brian Memmott, Jason (Jennifer) Axelrad, Eric (Helen) Leichtle, Allison Leichtle, Stephanie (Warren) Leichtle-Chalklen, Emily Axelrad and Ben Axelrad; her great-grandchildren Natalie Axelrad, Parker Memmott, Skye Leonard, Rocco Leonard and Jaxon Axelrad.
Audrey was involved with the PTA, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts while raising her four children. In addition, she was a typing fiend and worked part-time at home as a transcriber. Once her children were grown, she was employed for twelve years by the City of Los Angeles excelling as stenographer, division secretary, and on the side, she helped create the 1982 LAPD commemorative history book. After her retirement from the Valley Traffic Division in 1987, she and Ken spent happy years traveling the U.S. She also enjoyed her Amway business venture.
