Gloria Gates

Gloria M. (Chioccola) Gates, 87, of Bedford, NH, died December 7, 2015. Born August 24, 1928 in Boston, MA, she is the daughter of the late Domenick and Anna Marie (Vitale) Chioccola. She attended Girls High School in Boston, MA.

Gloria was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Malden, MA. She volunteered with various hospice organizations as well as The Gathering Place.

Gloria was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent "Jim" Prizio in 1976; by her second husband, Donald Leckie in 1992; and by her third husband, Charles W. Gates, Jr. in 2015; her brother, Michael Chioccola; her sisters, Rose Nagy, Aida Chioccola, Norma Lee, and Stella Purser.

Family members include six nieces, Roberta Provencal, Cynthia Lien, Barbara Tabor, Lorraine Schreib, Donna McCloy, and Gail Landry; three nephews, Robert Nagy, Kenneth Chioccola, and Gary Purser; many grandnieces and grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Services: Visitation will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 12 noon until 2:00 pm from the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, NY. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Dan Wilson officiating.

Burial will take place in Wrights Corners Cemetery, Newfane, NY.
