Michael “Mick” Joseph Brown, 67, passed peacefully and went running into the arms of our heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. He was born on November 2, 1956 in Washington, IN to the late Harold and Rita Brown.
A hardworking and peaceful man, devoted to his family and a wonderful provider. He graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1975, and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He attended Crossroads Christian Church and worked at Kimberly-Clark Corporation for the majority of his career.
Mick married the love of his life, Julie Brown, on May 7, 1977. Together, they built their beautiful family, including four children. He found immense joy in his children’s and grandchildren’s activities, watching/coaching/attending sports, worshiping at church and partaking in daily family dinners. He was a proud Husband, Dad, Pepaw, Papaw, Son and Brother. His family and home were his greatest treasures and his favorite place to be, where he enjoyed watching movies, challenging himself with game shows and listening to a variety of music. With a quiet strength, he walked the path that God laid out for him. He taught us to value the gift of time and gracefully accept the more challenging moments.
Surviving Mick is his beloved wife, Julie; sons, Brandon Brown of Newburgh, IN; Travis Brown (Holly) of Newburgh, IN; daughters, Jordan Brown of Newburgh, IN and Lauren Stocker (Andrew) of Jacksonville, NC; four grandchildren, Hailey, Ty, Ian and Jackson Brown; brother Harry (Deborah) Brown, sister Kathy (John) Hopkins, brother John Brown, brother Bill (Michelle) Brown; brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
His life was a blessing. His resilience was admirable. He will be deeply missed, forever cherished, endlessly loved and remembered.
