IN THE CARE OF
Alexander Funeral Home-Newburgh Chapel
Dr. Kamal El Ramahi, beloved husband of Kawsar El Ramahi and father of Meram (Lokman), Dr. Wesam El Ramahi, Raed, Mera (Walied), Mayda (Timothy) and Dr. Meral El Ramahi and grandfather of Lany, Adam, Noah, Layana and Lily passed away at home surrounded by his family on September 18, 2021. Dr. El Ramahi brightened the hearts of many with his loving heart, warm smile and kind soul. He lived his life in faith, honor and love, taking care of his family and loved ones with unwavering compassion and devotion. He was the most pious of men and lived his life devoted to God till his last moments.
As the family remembers Dr. Kamal El Ramahi, first and foremost, they remember him as a family man and faithful man. The example he set was one of sacrifice, strength, love, charity, patience, dedication, integrity and faith. He taught his children and grandchildren the true meaning behind each of those words in every action he took and every word he spoke. He instilled in them the desire to carry forward the lessons he taught. He was the most caring, generous, and loving husband to the love of his life, Kawsar.
Dr. Kamal El Ramahi was a respected physician in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine, renowned in several countries. He was a clinician, teacher, and a healer who dedicated his life to the pursuit of knowledge and helping those in need. Often times, patients came to him after years of suffering. He offered them more than just a diagnosis and treatment, he offered them hope, which his family had the privilege of witnessing firsthand. Dr. Kamal El Ramahi worked tirelessly to perfect his craft and ensure his patients could always receive the best care. He also headed the Rheumatology and Internal Medicine division abroad and taught many fellows throughout his years, who carry on his legacy. He was highly regarded amongst his colleagues in several countries — the field of medicine certainly lost one of its treasures with his passing.
Keeping with his passion of helping others, his family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent in his memory to any charity that helps those in need or to plant a tree in his name. May his beautiful, selfless soul Rest In Peace. He will forever be loved and missed, and his legacy will be carried on in his loved one’s hearts and all those he touched.
