David Kelly Mason

David K. Mason, 66, of Evansville passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born July 18, 1956 in Winchester, IN to the late Keith Allen and Beverly June (Johnson) Mason.
After graduating from Winchester Community High School, Dave enlisted in the United States Air Force and was proud to serve as a B-52 tail gunner and aircrew instructor. He rose to the rank of Master Sergeant and was honorably discharged after 14 years and 4 months of service. After his military career, Dave graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, IN with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He worked as an analyst for SIGECO and as an administrative assistant at Goodwill. Dave enjoyed tinkering with electronics, jet skiing, and spending time with family. He was also a loving dog owner to several lucky pups, giving out lots of belly rubs and cuddles.
David is survived by his twin brother, Douglas Kevin Mason of Floral City, FL; son, Christopher Chase Mason; daughter-in-law, Stacy Marie (Copeland) Mason; granddaughter, Paige Erika Mason; nephew, Steven Mason of San Francisco, CA; niece, Angela (Mason) Markley of Indianapolis, and beloved former wife, Carla Jean Mason.
The family would like to thank Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days.
A Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2022 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be performed graveside. Family and friends may visit Monday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
