Consuelo "Connie" M. Bradshaw

Consuelo “Connie” M. Bradshaw, 85, of Lake Villa, IL, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born November 27, 1931, in Evansville, IN, to the late Robert and Mary Strouse.

She was a 1949 Central High School graduate. Connie retired from the Evansville Courier and Press and she also worked for Raintree Girl Scout Office, Libs Candy, Hoffman's Clothing, Standard Oil Co., Wells Ladies Wear Store. She was an active member of Bethel Temple with the Schwambach’s. She was also very active in the music ministry at Bethel Temple, as well as many other singing groups with Barbara (Ray) Beatle, who was an amazing music director. She also sang for Sunday morning TV worship.

Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, George T. Bradshaw, Jr.; and daughter, Pamela Marlene McKinney, Connie’s heart was so sad from losing her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl McCormick (David); granddaughters, Melinda, Mirandi McCormick, whom she loved very much, and Darah, Sarah, and Farah Roll, whom she loved and enjoyed so much as children; sister, Senora Meintsma; nephew, Kevin; and nieces, Beth and Barbara. Connie dearly loved her family.

Connie gave her heart to the Lord when she was eight years old. She is now at peace with the Lord. No Pain!

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
