Albert William New, III

Albert W. New, Ill, aged 83, of Newburgh, IN, formerly of West Branch and Wayne, Ml, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Albert was born on August 15, 1941, in Detroit, MI to the late Geraldine H. (Vokes) and Albert W. New, II. He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 62 years, Sandra J. (Bolton) New; brother, Gerald K. New; sister, Carole L. (Willard) Burrick, and his beloved aunt and uncle, Rosella E. (Jimmy) and William Keith Sommerlot. Albert is survived by his children, Kathryn E. (Michael) Williams, Tracy R. Wright, and Daniel L. (Julie) New; grandchildren, Sara Williams, Adam (wife Tara Ebrahimi) Williams and Meghan Williams (partner Patrick Buczek), Robyn Wright (partner Taylor Thomison) and Ryan (Paula) Wright, Christopher (Megan) New and Aaron New; great grandchild, Eleanor Williams; brother, Louis C. (Maryann) New, sister, Patricia (Tony) Moore and sister-in-law, Carolyn New; brother-in-law, Richard (Katherine) Bolton and sister-in-law, Sharon K. (John, deceased) Hodge and 18 nieces and nephews. Albert was in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed at Camp Pendelton, Camp Le Jeune and based in Japan for 1 year. He loved bowling, hunting, John Wayne movies, doing home and car repairs, playing softball and watching the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Red Wings. After 32 years with the Ford Motor Comp., Michigan Truck Plant, Albert retired and moved to the Northern part of the lower peninsula to enjoy the nature of the area. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Angels Care Home Health, Gentiva Hospice and The Brickyard Healthcare - Woodlands Care Center of Newburgh, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral Home Newburgh Chapel. Albert and Sandra's final resting place will be Rural Hill Cemetery, Northville, Ml.
