For my brother, my friend Walter. 

I am fortunate to have you as my brother. 
You will always be with us in our hearts. 
I'm certain that we will meet again in heaven one day.
We'll take care of things here, you rest without worries. 
I miss you greatly my brother. 

I was blessed to have met Walter six months ago at UBS.  Walter was always willing to lend an ear and provided invaluable guidance.  One of the last times we spoke, he reminded me to remember the most important part of life in the environment we were all living through - family and friends.  Walter will be dearly missed.  My condolences to Walter's family, friends and those he touched. 

It’s hard to believe that he’s actually gone from this world. He’ll always be in our hearts. I remember him always taking our family to the best spots in Hawaii and driving us wherever it was. He looked out for me and always tried to understand me, especially when I had my “teen” moments. I remember one time in Hawaii, when we were at a restaurant, I knocked over a glass of milkshake and before it could even spill, he lifted it back up without a drop. Then, he just looked at me and gave me a wink. We both knew if my mom had seen that happen, I’d be in big trouble. It was truly at moments like these that I felt this strong bond between him and I. It’s disheartening that he couldn’t live his fullest life, but one thing I know for sure is that he always made those around him feel like family, and I know that he’s up there watching. He brought so much joy to this world, so let’s commemorate him by continuing to spread that same type of positivity.

I had the honor and privilege to know Walter for the last 20 years.  We met at Accenture and became friends. When I first met Walter we were at the client site in Pennsylvania, meeting with the client daily, building prototypes and presenting solutions and proposals.  We worked long hours and Walter’s good nature, humor and enthusiasm shined.   I could always depend on Walter who never complained after a long day.  Walter was always the gentleman, polite, smart, funny and professional.    I was honored to be at Walter & Sung-A’s wedding and delighted when Indya was born.  When we spoke, Walter always told me of the love he had for Sung-A and Indya.  Walter impacted many lives.  He will be greatly missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with Sung-A and Indya.   

I was lucky enough to first meet Walter when he joined UBS in early 2020. In such a chaotic year, our chats always left a smile on my face. Walter taught me to cherish life and live in the present - a life lesson that I will take with me forever. You should always leave people better than how you found them and the memories illustrated here show Walter did just that. 

My condolences to his family, friends and everyone fortunate enough to have met such a kind soul.

Though I have only known Walter for a short time, it is obvious the impact he has made by being the man he was and the life that he lived.  Stories of his generosity, his positive impact on family, friends, colleagues, he touched the lives of so many people.  A father, a brother, a husband, an uncle, a friend; Walter tried to be the best of all these roles and he was gifted in bringing people together with his kindness, humor, and big heart.  If he was with us today, he would tell us a joke, a movie line, sing us a karaoke song, or share a story to try and cheer us up.  One of his clients told me that Walter was "the very personification of a gentleman".  I couldn't agree with him more.  His brother Paul shared that once Walter told him, "I may have limited amount of resources, but I have unlimited amount of love..."  That is exactly the Walter that we have come to know over the last 6 months.  He has been a great mentor to many of us and we will remember him as he lived.  A life of generosity, fullness, and love.  He will greatly be missed.

Walter was the first person I met after joining UBS. He was my manager but very quickly became a mentor. He was quick to offer a helping hand or instantly make a situation light with his humor.  He will be terribly missed.

My sincere condolences to Walter’s family.  I was very fortunate to meet Walter on day one when he joined us at UBS.  It was my task to make sure he had everything he needed and to assist him with whatever I could.  That was the easy  part for sure he always cracked a joke or quoted a movie line to make light out of anything he was always positive and always wanted to help out.  I will miss his daily
Chats and great ideas I learned a lot from him in the short time that I knew him.  I will continue to pray for his family.

A friend, a confidante, a mentor and a brother of the heart.  The cherished memories of 30 years+ from our first day at law school orientation until our last exchanged text ("we must ketchup and mustard"), Walter always lightened our hearts and spirits with his loving and caring generosity.  He was and will always be a part of our family, thus our sadness can only be expressed with heavy hearts for he left us too soon.  Our heartfelt condolences to Sung-A and Indya as well as Paul and Mark, and we pray that the loving memories give them and us some comfort until we meet again.  Chin chin and Adios hermano, QEPD. I can only echo what my UBS colleagues have said here. We simply could not have had a better co-worker than Walter. Smart and talented, kind and good humored -- he will be dearly missed and long remembered by all of us. 

My heartfelt condolences to Walter’s grieving family. I came to know him around 5 months ago  and he was my UBS colleague. From the first day, he made a very positive impact on me with his witty, playful nature and he would always have my back during the project. Even though senior to me in the project, he always was a friend and a great mentor. I surely learnt a lot from him especially his outlook towards work and life in general. I’m sure he is in a better place and I hope to meet him in person on the other shore. 

I was very sad to hear the news of Walter's passing and i would like to extend my condolences, thoughts & prayers to all his family and friends.  I worked with Walter at UBS and was only introduced to him about 3 months ago but in that short span of time he made an impression on me.  He was always positive, supportive & caring.  I never met Walter in person or even on a video call; all my interactions were on conference calls.  For someone to make that kind of impression in such a short span of time (and considering the limited interaction) says so much.   Given my experience, I can only imagine how Walter touched his family & friends.  Please try to take some comfort in the impact he has made in this world over such a short span of time...
