Tom was born December 10th 1945 in Manhattan to Rosalie and Richard Jones. A graduate of Hunter Elementary, Horace Mann H.S. and Columbia College he then continued to get his law degree from Fordham University and was admitted to the bar in 1976.
He became a partner and top litigator at Cahill Gordon and Reindel LLC, sought after by large corporations like NBC W.R. Grace etc. He was proud that his litigations were 100% successful. In 1999 his career had to be cut short due to spinal problems that continued throughout his life.
Tom managed 3 wives. After divorcing Jill, widowed from Margaret O’ NEILL after 30 years of marriage, he met the love of his life on JDATE no less. Riry Muhlrad and Tom would have celebrated 20 Years of a very exciting and loving marriage in October. Tom had no children but truly loved and cherished Riry’s. Jennifer and Eric were in his thoughts a lot and Dalya and Zoe were adored from the day they were born. He loved teaching them and sharing his life experiences with them. The one woman he really admired was Riry’s mother Dr. Paula Schwartz.
Tom had many hobbies over the years he loved to travel and had some of the most fabulous vacations over the years in Asia Africa Australia. At home he was a great sue chef and helped prepare wonderful holidays dinners. His blessings over the wine and Hallah will be greatly missed.
Music was a very big part of Tom’s life. He played the piano and the guitar and had a most fabulous voice. He adored Irish music.
If you were lucky and got to know Tom you would admit he was a beautiful soul. He was one of the brightest, most honest and sincere, accomplished, generous kind man. His smile was always contagious. If you needed help he was always there for you. If you needed to get an opinion or advice he was always available. He will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife Riry Muhlrad-Jones and her children Jennifer and Eric Muhlrad grandchildren Dalya and Zoe Amouyal.
A funeral will take place at Riverside Memorial Chapel on. May 8th 11:30 AM, followed by a private burial.
