I was shocked and so upset when I just recently came across this news. I went to Riverdale Country School, High School, with Steph. I would say we were friends and I know senior year she appreciated all of the rides in my car to and from school and the city. She was definitely part of my fairly small crew of passengers. Atleast she lived in a corner building. To me, she was always full of life with a sparkle in her eyes. We maintained a friendship after College. We stayed in touch, we texted, always on special occasions, like birthdays, followed on facebook,, etc. Thankfully, we did have our own special little dinner in the city a little ways back that I will always treasure. This year, unfortunately, I never received a return text as my text "could not be delivered". It was a funny one, a rather personal one, that only the 2 of us would understand, given the fact she knew I had always liked her. Facebook stopped. I began to worry and then the news hit me when I did a general search. OMG, i literally felt sick. I figured,, no way,, different person. But not to be,, Steph knew I liked her back in the day and all through life. I look back and savor that city dinner we shared a little while back. We spoke of kids, family, high school stuff, and current adult stuff. I am so sorry and send my deepest condolences at this late date, but it only recently became reality to me. I simply still cannot believe it!! To all of Steph's Family and Friends, may we all remember the positives and that great smile and eye twinkle she always had,,, all night long,,, inside joke. I will miss you, my good friend! To her close family, please feel free to reach out to me.

Stephanie was senior to me in the media group at Oppenheimer, my first job out of college.  She and I took many work trips together, particularly to LA.  She reveled in showing the new guy the ropes of being on the road, and she was a lot of fun to hang out with.  One time in 1996 I missed most of a meeting in Vancouver because I had stayed over in Denver the night before to see a Bruce Springsteen solo show and my flight early the next morning was delayed.  I walked late into the meeting and Stephanie was on the speaker phone and she said to the management team I was supposed to be meeting with, “Oh good, the rock star finally showed up.  Remind him he’ll be working all weekend when he gets home.”  And then she let out that big SY laugh that let you know she was in on the joke (and that yes, she was serious).  My deepest sympathies to her family.  She was truly one of a kind.
