Nancy May Greenberg (93) of Brooklyn and Manhattan died peacefully October 10, 2022. A vibrant matriarch, she steadfastly supported and loved her children Penny Robiner (David Miner), DéDé Greenberg (Craig Vogel), Bill Robiner (Susan) and Mike Greenberg (Roz Segal); grandchildren Bill, Elizabeth, Jake (Jess), Rachel, Eli, Daniel, Sonia, and Noah; nieces Joan (Dan), Ann (Len), and Sophie; nephews Sig (Jan), Stephen (Kate), Alex, and Max; and an extended family that included Halberstadts, Steins, and Berlins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ben, parents Stella and Nathaniel Bloom, aunt May Caplin, and sister Nicky Heller (Arnie).
Nancy was devoted to her family and instilled that value in everyone she met. She was a dynamo in her volunteer work, a dedicated teacher, and maintained constant contact with relatives, friends, and neighbors. She had a special place in her heart for antiquing, rabbits, Bucks County, the American Folk Art Museum, and all things feminist. Nancy’s devoted friend and confidante Charito Vidal was especially important to her. Memorial Service 11 AM October 14th at Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, 30 West 68th Street, NY, NY.
