Mary Holland Campbell, aged 66, died peacefully on August 23, 2018 at Mary Manning Walsh Home in Manhattan, after a two year battle with cancer. Mary was born September 16, 1951 in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of Helen Holland.
Mary thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, dogs, walks around Central Park, the colorful Fall foliage, and the Holidays with her family, especially her four grandchildren.
In 1975, Mary married the love of her life Thomas Edward Campbell, and raised their two children James McDonagh Campbell and Stephen Nicholas Campbell in New York City.
In addition to raising their two children she also worked at St. Joseph’s School – Yorkville for many years as a book keeper in the student lunch program. Later, Mary worked as a nanny providing child care to a number of wee ones.
Mary is survived by her two brothers James and Nick Holland; her husband Thomas; two sons James and Stephen; four grandchildren Andrew, Jillian, Carolyn, and Ryan; and a number of relatives in Scotland and friends.
There will be a wake service at Chas. Peter Nagel Funeral Directors on Tuesday August 28, 2018 from 5PM – 9PM. There will be private funeral service for immediate family members at Garden State Crematory..
