Mark was born to Mort and Ruth Tucker on October 4, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland. At a young age, Mark knew he wanted more and left his home to make something of himself. Quickly his passion became business. For over fifty years, Mark's business was shoes. He was a trailblazer in the 70s, opening shoe factories in China that produced high-quality shoes that rivaled Italy. He made and supplied shoes for major labels and created his footwear brand.
He loved watching sports, including his Baltimore Ravens and the New York Yankees, and complaining about how the New York Knicks couldn't get their act together. He loved swimming in the pool, hotel room service, long conversations, walks in Central Park with his friends, kids, grandkids, Jim Croce, Entenmann's, and every movie ever made.
A vocal member of AA, Mark proudly lived his life one day at a time and was at his best when he was helping fellow members accept the things they could not change, change the things they could, and have the wisdom to know the difference.
Mark is survived by his four children, Adam, Darren, Valentina, and Brad, and his eight grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Sadie, Lioba, Shel, Emmett, Italo, and Leo. He is also survived by his sister Merritt, brother Chuck, Nephews Bailey and Elton, and Nieces Zoe and Monty.
