Kathy was born in Rockaway Beach, NY and lived in Manhattan for the past 45 years. She was a graduate of Pace University and was a dedicated Executive Assistant at Zilkha & Sons, Inc., an investment firm, for 33 years until she retired in 2011.
Kathy loved living in Manhattan and enjoyed sharing that New York experience with her family and friends. She always enjoyed taking trips to the shore and loved seeing the ocean.
Kathy helped many people in her lifetime in a peer-to-peer support group, in which she took a leadership role, that enabled people to live healthy, peaceful and productive lives.
Kathy is survived by her two sisters, Lynn Quinlan of Brick, NJ and Pat O’Connor of Port Monmouth, NJ, her niece, Kathleen Hiott and her husband, Erick Hiott of Springfield, NJ, her nephew, Matthew O’Connor and his wife Katelyn O’Connor of Stamford, CT, and grandnephews, Charlie Hiott, and Owen and Luke O’Connor. She is also survived by many cousins and dear friends, including Marilyn Manti.
Kathy is predeceased by her parents, Jerome Quinlan and Madeline (née Keough) Quinlan, her brother, Michael Quinlan, and her brother-in-law Dennis O’Connor.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 13 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home, 1076 Madison Ave., NY 10028. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 14 at St. Agnes Church, 143 E. 43rd St. NY 10017 at 10:30 a.m.
