"Evelyn Goldberg passed away on Thursday evening, February 18, 2021, one month shy of her 97th birthday. A lifelong New Yorker, she began her professional career as a dancer, appearing in New York nightclubs such as the Havana Madrid in the 1940s. After several years as a housewife, she returned to the workforce in New York's garment center, enjoying a successful career as a salesperson in children's accessories during the 1980s and 90s. In her retirement years, Evelyn was a voracious reader, enjoyed exploring her city and loved spending time with family and friends. Her beloved daughter, Sue, predeceased her. Evelyn is survived by her loving family, sons Fred and Les, daughter-in-law Michele, son-in-law Marty, and granddaughters, Ilana, Danielle, and Maren."
