Russell was preceded in death by his great grandparents T.H. & Nancy Smith of Tazewell, great grandparents Clifford & Ida Robertson of Tazewell, and his uncle Aaron Lee Smith of Tazewell.

Russell is survived by his 2 precious children Braxton Lee Smith and Ava Grace Smith. Mother Tonya and step-father Lynn Helton of Bean Station, TN. Father Billy and step-mother April Smith of Speedwell, TN. Brothers Cameron Widner of Morristown, TN., Shawn Widner of Sevierville, TN. Only sister Tiyawnah Smith of Morristown, TN. Step-brothers Peyton Gulley, Dakota Fortner and Jackie Cochran. Grandparents Kathy Downes of Morristown, TN., Mike & Patricia Keck of Richmond, VA., J.D. & Vickie Smith of New Tazewell, TN., Virginia Fortner of Tazewell, TN. Aunt Shelley Turner of Richmond, VA. Uncles Mike Keck of Bean Station, TN., Alan Fortner of Tazewell, TN. Nephews Mason Widner, Jaxxon Widner, BenLynn Widner, and Royce Greene. Niece Zoey Widner. As well as lots of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday August 12, 2023 from 1 until 4 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 4 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
