Mrs. Regina Lingar Pendleton celebrated her one hundredth birthday on April 14, 2011 and passed away on January 5, 2012 at her home. She was a life-long member of Greer’s Chapel Baptist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Pendleton was preceded in death by her parents, Frasier and Nancy Roark Lingar; her husband of 55 years, Roy Pendleton; one son, Harold Pendleton; one granddaughter, Lori Pendleton.
She is survived by one daughter Daughter: Wanda (Chester) Susong;
Sons: William S. (Sylvia) Pendleton and Leslie Edward (Dorothy) Pendleton all of Harrogate, TN; 12 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Until her death, she was the matiarch of five generations. Mrs. Pendleton was known for her quilting, her flower garden and her sound advice. Although housebound during her later years, she loved to visit and chat with her friends and family. Much of her good health and longevity can be attributed to the care She received daily from her Amedysis Home Nurses, whom she dearly loved.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P.M. Sunday January 8, 2012 at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Harrogate with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Sunday night in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. Graveside service 11:00 A.M. Monday January 9, 2012 in the Greer Chapel Cemetery.
