Nellie Ruth Singleton

Mrs. Nellie Ruth Singleton, age 80, of New Tazewell, born May 28th, 1936 went to be with The Lord on July 10, 2016 at Claiborne Medical Center.

She professed Faith at an early age at Cedar Fork Baptist Church. She was a member at Freedom Baptist Church. She spent many years providing care for children of all ages. She loved each as her own and was called Mamaw by many.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Elmer Tyler Singleton. Parents Charlie and Ova Carroll of Tazewell, TN.

Brothers: James (Dorothy) Carroll and Jessie Carroll of Tazewell, TN.

Sisters: Norsie Carroll, Maxie (Ed) England, Opal Lee (Bill) Stoner, and Okle Carroll all of Tazewell, TN.

Survived by: daughter Carol (Joe) Smith of Tazewell, TN; son, Joe (Loretta) Singleton; son Charles (Donna) Singleton; and daughter Mary (Kenneth) Fortner all of New Tazewell, TN.

Granddaughters: Nellie (James) Daniels of New Tazewell; Kelli (Michael) Shopshire of Lexington, KY; Nikki Singleton, Brandy Oldham, Krystal Singleton, and Jessie Perry all of New Tazewell, TN.

Grandsons: Little Joe Singleton, Buzz Collett, Dustin Singleton, and Nathan Singleton all of New Tazewell, TN.

Great Grandchildren: Jaime Daniels, Jacob Daniels, Nathaniel Daniels, Jacklyn Collett, Tyler Oldham all of New Tazewell, TN and Camdyn Shopshire of Lexington, KY.

A host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation Tuesday, July 12th 2016 from 6-9 PM, Funeral services Wednesday, July 13th 2016 at 11 AM at Coffey Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Hatfield and Rev. Ed England officiating. Singers The Revelations and Glenda Duffield. Burial in the Irish Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Buzz Collett, Nathan Singleton, Jacob Daniels, Nathaniel Daniels, Dustin Singleton, Brad Barnard and Little Joe Singleton.

Honorary Pallbearers: Camdyn Shopshire and Tyler Oldham.
