Mary D. Cox

She was saved at an young age at Riverside School on a flat rock and was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

She loved to sing and shout when filled in the spirit of the Lord. She also loved to quilt, making many quilts and garments for her friends and loved ones throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Julie Williams Cosby and Sterling Cosby; husband of 39 years, James Ulis Daniels; brother, Frank Cosby; sisters, Minnie Cosby and Laura Southers Gibson; daughters, Della Mae Payne and Phyllis Langford Ramsey and sons, Rev. U.G. Daniels, Frank Daniels and Rev. Hobert Daniels. Also, she was married and preceded in death by the late E.C. Cox for 8 years.

She is survived by her :

Daughter and caregiver, Zelma Painter and husband, Junior Painter

Daughters: Ina Mae and the late,,Argil Massengill

Kathy and Greg Baker

Geneva and Junior Williams

Sons: Earl and Betty Daniels

Johnny and Sue Daniels

Daughters-in-law: Debbie Daniels and Thelma Daniels

43 grandchildren, 104 great grandchildren, 42 great, great grandchildren and 2 great, great, great grandchildren

Sister: Martha Sulfridge

Family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Sat. at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell, TN. Funeral service 2:00PM Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Dalton and Rev. Adam Daniels officiating. Church Singers. Burial in the Crane Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Eddie Ramsey, Derick Johnson, Blake Ramsey, Jacob Daniels, Jeremy Daniels, Blaine Lowe, Chris Daniels, Elijah Williams and Dylan Robinson. Honorary pallbearers: Grandsons.
