Martha professed faith in Christ at Cedar Flat Missionary Baptist Church when she was 8 years old. She later moved her membership to Ida’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member until death.

Martha’s greatest concern in life was for those that were lost. She has prayed many a prayer for those in need of salvation. She read her Bible and received comfort from God’s word. She had many favorite scriptures, but this passage was her favorite scripture:
Nahum: Chapter 1, Verse 7 – The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
She loved her family with an unconditional love. She fought her sickness with great faith and courage, and showed her love to us in many ways each and every day until the end.
Goodbye to a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. We love you.
