Charles Henry Edds

He was a lifelong farmer which included raising tobacco and beef cattle along with running a dairy for many years with his father. His love for farming never outweighed his unwavering love for his family. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Charles was also devoted to the Lord and was proud to be a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Judy Edds. Parents, James Thomas and Josie Edds, stepmother, Grace Edds. Sister and Brother-in-law Shirley Buchanan (Hubert, Jr). Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Marion Cupp.

Survived by son, Christopher Edds (Katie) and Daughter, Jennifer Bailey (Richard). Grandsons who were the light of his life and his pride and joy, Wesley Edds (Alisha), James Tyler Edds (Brittney), Kyle Bailey and Caden Edds. Great grandson, Colton Edds. Brother Bobby Edds (Brenda) all of Tazewell. Brother-in-law Kenny Cupp (Pam) and Sister-in-law Freda Nester (Keven) of Morristown. Several Nieces and Nephews as well as other family members and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Smoky Mountain Home Health & Hospice for the amazing care and especially to Chasity Lawson for everything she did for Charles.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday July 16, 2024 from 5 until 7 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held Wednesday July 17, 2024 at 11 AM in the Liberty Cemetery.
