Bertha Lee Daniels, age 67 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 20th, 2024 at UT Hospital. She was saved at Ut Hospital on December 23, 2019, and was a faithful member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to the love of her life, Clyde Daniels for 46 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked for over 30 years here in our hometown and then retired to stay home and watch her grandbabies. She soon decided to begin babysitting and become Mamaw Berthie to so many and cherished every minute.
She is preceded in death by her father Ed and mother Maxie England. Brothers Archie and John England. Sister Okle and husband Bill Cunningham. Brother-in-law Larry Worley. Sister-in-law Jane England.
She is survived by her husband Rev. Clyde Daniels.
Daughters Amy (Brian) Pendleton and Tracy (Nick) Keck.
Grandchildren, Haley and Brinley Pendleton, Malory, Molly, Maverick, Maxxis, Memphis, Maggie, Mack, and Meredith Keck.
Brothers Glen England, Ed Jr. (Sheila) England, Charlie (Johnetta) England, Frankie (Gloria) England. Sister Gladys Worley. Sister-in-law Glenda England, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Though she will be greatly be missed, there is comfort in knowing her sickness is gone, her body no longer in pain, and she is with our Savior awaiting us to join her when our time comes. She certainly fought a good fight, and kept the faith through it all reminding us of the scripture in Second Timothy, Chapter 4 verses 6 through 8. "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
The family will receive friends Monday December 23, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell, Tn. Funeral service will follow in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Preacher: Ed England Jr, Tommy Louthan, Jerry Peck Jr.
